Long weekend off work!

My baby turned 18 on Friday..unbelievable that she could possibly be 18 years old but her passport confirms it.

I took Thursday and Friday off and will be off again tomorrow, as I really wanted to spend sometime chilling with Tinks. Thursday we ended up in a meeting at her college, Friday we had to go to hospital as Tinks has had a bad week...plus I ended up working loads! Yesterday we made up for it a bit and went into Canterbury and had lunch with Tinks' boyfriend and today we went for a walk in Whitstable.

Have also caught up on One Tree Hill and Made in Chelsea today plus over the last few days I have made loads of cards! When I get round to it I will upload some of them!

Happy Mothers Day

I am officially spoilt by my children! Dan and Tinks bought me the Breaking Dawn DVD, a flower crochet book and a novel plus Tinks is treating me to dinner tonight.

We have to head out for dinner really early as Tinks needs to lay down in the evening and tends to be in bed by 7-7.30pm. She has arranged for us to have a special menu including prosecco but on the basis Tinks can't drink.....More for me.

Today is always a bitter sweet day for me, as whilst I am privileged to have children of my own I do also miss my own Mum today.

I hope you all have a great day and make the most of it being Sunday....right off to scrap

2012 - New blog start

Having not blogged for so long I have decided to get back on top of it all...I have moved my main PC into the living room so I can work whilst still being with the family. Determined to spend lots of time on Jellybean Photography this year as well as potentially starting myself another website....news of this to follow once I have worked on it all.

Being downstairs has become more vital right now as Tinks has been so poorly and I like to be near her when possible.

A fall down the stairs just over six weeks ago has left her with shoulder and neck injuries. Supporting her own neck leaves her with bad headaches, dizziness and nausea. She is now under the care of both an Ortho specialist and a Neurologist. Three MRI scans in the last ten days including a brain scan. Intensive physio in between specialist appts means we have been at the hospital for at least 4-5 appts per week.

Now waiting for more news. I will come back with updates as and when.

Generally...

I have a fairly relaxed social life however I have been very busy over the last few weeks and have so many images to process and share with everyone.

I will process the images from London in the next few days and then will work on those images from Spain (the weekend before last) and the images from last weekend (Devon - for Lee's birthday). I will put a few images from each event up as I have taken so many.

The sunsets in Spain were gorgeous and whilst I did not take my Canon camera as it was too bulky to carry all the time, Nick bought me a Lumix camera for my birthday that I can shove in my pocket or handbag (my birthday is a few weeks away so it was an early pressie). It takes fairly good images - not so great at night shots when you need an addiitonal flash..so the evening shots are a bit grainy but it is fun to use. I probably have about 6+walks from that long weekend in Spain.

I will get to play catch up and start blogging more frequently..promise

Walk04

This walk happened weeks ago - and was a very small walk. We were invited to a christening by my friend Anita...to watch the gorgeous Eliana be christened. Rather than drive all the way to the church we parked a short distance away and walked up the hill.
Unfortunately there was very little to photograph on route and I have photographed sooo many churches for weddings in the past but I got a few snaps.

Waiting in the doorway was Neets' husband Mike - who was greeting everyone . It was a very cold crisp day so he was brave to stand outside all that time.
Photography is limited in the church but the vicar was happy to allow for one person to take images - I was very lucky that Neets requested me to take those images, especially as some of the family members are budding photographers. I captured some lovely images of Eliana - who was so happy. It was a great day and I am looking forward to taking more piccies of Eli as she grows up.
